Jo Hampson first trained as a teacher at Durham. For 20 years she has worked in different Public Sector organisations both in the UK and Australia reaching an executive managerial position.
In 2001 Jo gave it all up to run a small food smoking business. She built up the business and having trebled its turnover in three years she sold it on. Now Jo has turned her attentions back to playing to her strengths and runs Stepping Off - a unique business set in the Lake District.
Building on her skills and experience of living through a life change she and her partner help people identify and plan new futures and assist them to achieve their dreams.
Jo has published her first book ‘Life Swap’ based on the work of Stepping Off – it is the essential guide to changing your life.
Jo not only runs Stepping Off but is also much in demand as a motivational speaker. During her time in Australia she worked closely with the Spokeswomen’s Network, a government run network for women in the public sector. Here she gained a reputation as an inspiring and motivational speaker and is in demand to address audiences from management training programmes to international conferences. She has addressed the Royal Society of Arts and has had speeches published.
